Hello families, as we shared earlier this week in a Facebook post, guidance has been released in allowing small learning groups to occur in person at our school's campus. In order to ensure student safety, our Board of Trustees and our teachers are working to create groups of no more than 4 students at a time to work with their teachers in grades K-5, while wearing masks and practicing social distancing to the extent possible.
To answer the questions our office has received the most, the groups are based on student academic needs and technology aptitude, and not your personal schedule needs. Additionally, the students who are invited to in-person groups must still participate in online learning.
We know this is a hard time and we appreciate how much every parent is trying. We are aware that some of our parents have had to sacrifice job time and learn unfamiliar technology alongside their children. The COVID19 Pandemic has impacted everyone, in schools, in businesses, and in our own homes. Please, stay strong. In the face of frustration, practice patience. We will eventually get through this. Our teachers and school staff care very much about our students. We look forward to the day when we can all be together again in the classroom, but it may be a while before that happens.
